Job Posting: Website Content Creator & Social Media Manager
The Robbins House is seeking a creative and motivated individual to join our team as a Website Content Creator & Social Media Manager. The ideal candidate will have a passion for history, community engagement, and digital storytelling, with the ability to manage our online presence and attend key events to capture the spirit of Robbins House.
Key Responsibilities:
- Website Management: Regularly update and maintain the Robbins House website, ensuring content is current, engaging, and accessible.
- Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement social media campaigns across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.) to promote events, programs, and the historical significance of Robbins House.
- Event Coverage: Attend 4 spring and summer events to capture live content (photos, videos, and stories) that can be used across digital platforms.
- Content Creation: Write compelling blog posts, event recaps, and other relevant content that showcases Robbins House’s mission and activities.
- Engagement: Monitor social media channels, engage with followers, and respond to comments to build a strong online community.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in website content management (preferably WordPress or similar platforms).
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and strategies for growing online audiences.
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills.
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills are a plus.
- Interest in history, social justice, or museum studies is highly desirable.
Details:
- Part-time position with flexible hours.
- Must be able to attend 4 in-person events during spring and summer.
- Remote work with occasional travel for events.
