Empowering Future Leaders: The 2025 Ellen Garrison Scholarship Now Open
We are excited to announce that the application period for the 2025 Ellen Garrison Scholarship is officially open from May 15 through June 15. This scholarship honors the enduring legacy of Ellen Garrison, Concord’s first Black daughter, by supporting the next generation of young women of color educated in our community.
Each year, the Ellen Garrison Scholarship is awarded to three female METCO seniors at Concord-Carlisle High School who plan to pursue higher education. This initiative pays tribute to Ellen’s lifelong commitment to education, civil rights, and justice by uplifting students who embody her values of courage, leadership, and service.
By investing in these future leaders, the scholarship helps carry forward Ellen’s vision of equality and access—ideals she fiercely championed throughout her life. As a museum dedicated to telling Ellen’s story, The Robbins House is honored to share this opportunity with our community and encourage eligible students to apply.
We invite students, families, and educators to learn more and help spread the word.
Visit the Ellen Garrison Scholarship page to explore eligibility, application materials, and more.
Let’s continue to build on Ellen Garrison’s powerful legacy—one student at a time.
